Welcome To The Practice

Please visit the PPG section of our website and see the minutes from our meetings.

This website provides many online facilities, including appointment booking and cancellation, and prescription ordering. It also contains a vast range of health information and resources, along with practical information on visiting the surgery. We hope you find the website useful and informative.

Patient expectations are getting harder to manage. The desire of an immediate service has spread from the retail and hospitality sectors into public health services too, leading to increased frustration and abuse levelled towards staff whose only aim is to try and help.

90% of contacts with the NHS happen every day in general practice, and that all starts by speaking to the GP Reception Team. These staff hear things that will break most people’s hearts. They hear them every day. The emotional weight of patient stories is very heavy. But they are doing their best to help people in need, to give them the time to tell their story and arrange the help required. Sadly, too often they are met with hostility and vitriol from patients who don’t understand the integral, but difficult role they perform.'

Please see below link to a short video, to help understand what day to day life can be like as a Receptionist in a GP setting:

Online Services

You can now book routine 10 minute GP appointments up to 2-3 weeks in advance through our “SystmOnline” Services  rather than you needing to make a phone call to the surgery.

Visit SystmOnline where you can book appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view your medical record.

You can also cancel appointments, rather than having to ring the surgery.
You can request repeat prescriptions using ‘SystmOnline’.

  • To use these services you will require access to the Practices' Clinical System 'SystmOnline', so please contact the surgery in person with your Photo ID and recent proof of address where you will be given a unique username & password. Once registered, you can access these services by clicking on the relevant links below.
  • Repeat prescriptions will still require 72 hours notice (3 working days) and will need to be picked up from the surgery (unless you consent for your prescription to be collected from a named pharmacy).
